Description

TeSys Deca contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 40A/690V AC-3 (18.5kW@400V). They can be used to create motor starters for almost any type of application. It provides a 120V 50/60Hz AC coil, 1NO+1NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror certified), power connection by screw terminals, control connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (75mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. These contactors have UL, CSA, GOST, RINA, BV, CCC, DNV, GL, LROS certifications. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).

Features

  • The Schneider LC1D40G7 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca contactor engineered for demanding industrial loads. Rated for 40 Amps (AC-3) and up to 60 Amps (AC-1), it is the ideal solution for controlling 3-phase motors up to 18.5 kW (25 hp) at 400/415V, making it a powerhouse for Canadian commercial HVAC systems, large conveyors, and industrial pump panels.
  • The "G7" code indicates a 120V AC (50/60 Hz) control coil, the most common standard for hard-wired control systems in North American facilities. This allows for seamless integration into existing control logic without the need for additional step-down transformers or complex DC power supplies.
  • This contactor features Schneider's patented EverLink power terminals. This innovative "creep-free" technology maintains a constant pressure on the conductor over time, compensating for wire "cold flow." This significantly reduces the risk of loose connections and electrical hot spots, ensuring long-term reliability in high-vibration Canadian manufacturing environments.
  • Every LC1D40G7 includes 1 NO (Normally Open) and 1 NC (Normally Closed) auxiliary contacts as standard. This allows you to integrate essential "Run" and "Fault" status monitoring into your automation system or safety interlocks without the added expense or assembly time of auxiliary add-on blocks.
  • Despite its high power rating, the LC1D40G7 maintains a compact footprint and mounts easily on a 35mm DIN rail or backplate. It is designed for perfect mechanical and electrical coordination with LRD3 thermal overload relays and GV3 manual motor starters, allowing you to build a fully protected, professional-grade motor branch circuit in seconds.
