- The Bussmann LP-CC-10 is a Class CC Low-Peak™ fuse, widely regarded as the ultimate protection for branch circuits. It is a "Current-Limiting" fuse, meaning it reacts in less than half a cycle to "clamp" short-circuit energy before it reaches its destructive peak. This superior protection is essential for preventing damage to sensitive contactors and solid-state relays in Canadian industrial control panels.
- Equipped with Time-Delay characteristics, this 10-Amp fuse is specifically designed to handle the heavy momentary surges of small motor starts and control transformer inrush. It provides a 12-second time-delay at 200% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance blowing" during normal equipment startup while still offering high-speed protection against dangerous faults.
- As a Class CC fuse, the LP-CC-10 features a unique physical rejection tip. This ensures it can only be installed in a dedicated Class CC fuse holder (like the Bussmann CHCC series), preventing the accidental installation of standard "midget" fuses that lack the high interrupting rating and current-limiting capabilities required by code for branch circuit protection.
- The LP-CC-10 is fully rated for 600V AC and has a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR).
