Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- The AJT100 is a premium 100-Amp, 600V Class J fuse that offers industry-leading protection in a space-saving footprint. Its unique physical dimensions prevent the accidental installation of lower-rated Class RK fuses, ensuring your high-capacity motor starters and industrial feeders are always protected by a high-performance, current-limiting device.
- Engineered with advanced time-delay properties, the AJT100 is designed to "ride through" the massive initial inrush currents of large motors and transformers. It provides a minimum of 10 seconds of delay at 500% of its rating, effectively eliminating nuisance tripping during equipment startup while maintaining instantaneous protection against catastrophic short circuits.
- The AJT100 is one of the most current-limiting fuses available, reacting in less than 1/4 of a cycle during a fault. By drastically reducing the peak "let-through" energy ($I^2t$), it significantly lowers the risk of Arc Flash hazards and shields downstream equipment like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) from permanent thermal damage.
- With a massive 200,000 Amp RMS interrupting rating, this fuse is suitable for use in locations with extremely high available fault current. It allows you to achieve a high Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for your entire control panel, meeting the most stringent industrial safety codes and inspection requirements.
- Constructed with a high-strength fiberglass body, the AJT100 remains dimensionally stable in high-heat industrial environments. This model features Mersen’s SmartSpot visual indicator, allowing maintenance teams to identify a blown fuse at a glance without the need for manual meter testing, which dramatically reduces troubleshooting time.
