Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- The AJT60 is a 60-Amp, 600V Class J fuse that provides the ultimate protection for modern industrial power systems. Its compact physical size is smaller than Class R or Class K fuses, preventing the accidental installation of lower-rated fuse types and ensuring your motor starters and branch circuits are protected by the highest standard of current-limiting technology.
- Engineered with advanced time-delay properties, the AJT60 is specifically designed to handle the high inrush currents associated with large motors and transformers. It provides at least 10 seconds of delay at 500% of its rating, effectively eliminating nuisance tripping during equipment startup while maintaining instantaneous protection against high-magnitude faults.
- The AJT60 is one of the most current-limiting fuses available, reacting in less than 1/4 of a cycle during a short circuit. By drastically reducing the peak "let-through" energy (I^2t), it significantly lowers the risk of Arc Flash hazards and protects downstream equipment like VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC modules from catastrophic thermal damage.
- With a massive 200,000 Amp RMS interrupting rating, this fuse can be safely installed in locations with very high available fault current. It is an "all-in-one" solution that allows you to achieve a high Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for your entire control panel, meeting the most stringent industrial safety codes.
- Constructed with a high-strength fiberglass body, the AJT60 is dimensionally stable in high-heat environments. Many versions include a built-in "SmartSpot" visual blown-fuse indicator, allowing maintenance teams to identify the faulted circuit at a glance without the need for manual testing, significantly reducing troubleshooting time.
