Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- The Mersen AJT20 is a 20-Amp, 600V AC/DC Class J fuse engineered to provide the highest level of protection for industrial branch circuits. As a member of the Amp-Trap 2000 family, it features a dual-element design that offers a specialized time-delay for motor startups combined with high-speed current limitation for superior electronic protection.
- Featuring a dedicated time-delay (slow-blow) characteristic, the AJT20 is specifically designed to withstand the momentary current surges produced during motor starting and transformer energization. This prevents "nuisance tripping," ensuring your machinery stays online while providing critical thermal protection against sustained overloads.
- The AJT20 is a highly current-limiting fuse. In the event of a fault, it clears the circuit in less than half a cycle, physically restricting the amount of peak "let-through" energy that reaches downstream components. This significantly lowers arc flash hazards and minimizes the mechanical stress on your wires, contactors, and relays.
- Despite its compact size, the AJT20 boasts a massive 200,000 Amp interrupting rating (AIC). This ensures it can safely clear even the most severe catastrophic short circuits without venting or exploding, maintaining the integrity of your electrical enclosure and protecting nearby personnel.
- This model features Mersen s SmartSpot visual blown-fuse indicator. A high-visibility indicator allows maintenance teams to identify a faulted circuit at a glance from a distance. This technology eliminates the need to open fuse holders and use a multimeter to find a blown fuse, drastically reducing troubleshooting time and enhancing safety.
