Features

The Schneider Square D QO115GFI is a 15-Amp, single-pole Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) designed to protect people, not just equipment. It continuously monitors the current balance between the hot and neutral wires; if it detects a leakage current as low as 6mA, it trips instantly to prevent lethal electrical shocks in wet or damp locations.
This breaker is part of the premium QO (Quick-Open) line and is only compatible with Square D QO load centers. It features the iconic Visi-TripTM red indicator, which provides a clear visual signal that the breaker has tripped, significantly reducing troubleshooting time for homeowners and electricians.
Rated for 120V AC, this 15-Amp GFCI is a mandatory safety component for circuits serving bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor receptacles, and garages. By installing this breaker at the panel, you provide "whole-circuit" protection, ensuring that every outlet on that branch is shielded from ground faults.
The QO115GFI uses the industry-standard Square D plug-on mounting system for a fast and secure mechanical connection to the bus bar. This specific model includes a load neutral (pigtail) wire that must be connected to the neutral bar in the panel to enable the GFCI sensing electronics to function correctly.
Square D's proprietary Quick-Open mechanism is designed to snap the contacts open faster than standard breakers. This rapid response limits the duration of a short circuit or ground fault, reducing the potential for wire damage and improving the overall safety of your home's electrical system.
