Description

TeSys D contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 18A/690V AC-3/3e (7.5kW@400V). It provides a 24V 50/60Hz AC coil, 1NO+1NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror certified), connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (45mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).

Features

  • The LC1D18B7 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca (formerly TeSys D) non-reversing contactor. It acts as a heavy-duty switch for controlling motors and other electrical loads. It is a step up in power from the smaller 9A and 12A models, offering a higher amperage rating for mid-sized industrial equipment.
  • This is an 18-Amp contactor (AC-3 rating for inductive loads). At 240V: It can handle a 3-phase motor up to 5 HP. At 480V: It is rated for up to 10 HP. At 600V: (Common Canadian industrial voltage), it handles up to 15 HP. Resistive Loads (AC-1): For heating or non-inductive loads, it is rated for up to 32 Amps.
  • The "B7" suffix indicates a 24V AC (50/60Hz) control coil. This is a very common safety standard in modern Canadian control panels because it keeps the control voltage low, reducing the risk of arc flash or severe shock for technicians working on the control side of the circuit. Technical Alert: This is an AC coil. Do not attempt to power it with 24V DC (which would require a "BD" suffix), as the coil will overheat and likely burn out.
  • The LC1D18B7 comes standard with 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) built-in auxiliary contacts.
