Description
TeSys Deca reversing contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 40A/690V AC-3 (18.5kW@400V). Rated 40A AC-3 18.5kW@400V, it includes a 24V DC coil, 2NO+2NC aux contacts, a mechanical interlock. It provides 24V DC coils with transient suppressor module, 2NO+2NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror contacts), power connection by EverLink BTR screw connectors, control by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (119mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. With pre-wired reversing power connections, mechanical interlock (without electrical interlocking). Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine). Assembled with mechanical interlock and pre-wired reversing circuit. Clear separation between power and control circuits, easy front access to coil and auxiliary contacts connections. Equipped with a 24V DC coil for easy integration to all control systems. Provides 4 built-in auxiliary contacts 2NO + 2NC, NC contacts are mirror certified suitable to be included in the control of safety systems. High electrical durability, guaranteed for 1.6 million cycles at 40A AC-3 440V, for demanding motor switching applications. Robust design with high making and breaking capacities up to 20 In. Power connections by EverLink BTR screw terminals providing constant tightening pressure.
Features
- Featuring an advanced, high-efficiency 24V DC coil with an integrated bidirectional peak-limiting diode suppressor, this device requires minimal holding power. It can be safely driven directly by standard 500mA PLC transistor outputs, reducing component count, lowering control cabinet heat buildup, and protecting sensitive upstream automation electronics from voltage spikes.
- Rated for 40 Amps under AC-3/AC-3e conditions (up to 30 HP at 575V / 22 kW at 400V), this 3-pole assembly is engineered for demanding motor-starting applications. The high-performance copper alloy contacts offer extreme electrical durability, ensuring millions of reliable operations under full load for industrial pumps, fans, and material handling systems.
- Outfitted with 1NO (Normally Open) and 1NC (Normally Closed) auxiliary contacts per contactor, the assembly delivers seamless, real-time status signals back to your PLC or monitoring panels. The mirrors/linked contacts are highly reliable, enabling foolproof diagnostic tracking, safety interlocking, and system fault alerts without the need for add-on auxiliary blocks.
- Equipped with patented EverLinkTM lug technology, this contactor maintains consistent, long-term pressure on the power cables even as copper or aluminum wires cold-flow. This innovative design prevents localized terminal overheating and eliminates the need for routine torque maintenance, saving significant labor for field electricians and industrial maintenance crews.
