Description
TeSys D control relay, 5 contacts (3NO + 2NC), 10A/690V, for control of electromagnetic loads AC-15/DC-13. It provides a 600V 50/60Hz AC control circuit, connection by screw clamp terminals. For high operating rates until 180 cycles/min and ambient temperature -40/+60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (45mm width), for clipping on 35mm DIN rail or fixing by screw. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine), Green Premium product (RoHS/REACh).
Features
- The Schneider Electric CAD32X7 is an industrial control relay from the TeSys Deca (formerly TeSys D) family. Unlike a motor contactor that switches high-power loads, the CAD32X7 is a "logic relay" designed to switch control signals, pilot lights, or other contactor coils. It is a fundamental component for building complex automation logic in Canadian manufacturing and water treatment facilities.
- The "32" in the part number indicates the contact arrangement: 3 Normally Open (NO) contacts: Close when the relay is energized (ideal for "Start" or "Run" signals). 2 Normally Closed (NC) contacts: Open when the relay is energized (ideal for "Interlock" or "Stop" signals). This 5-pole configuration is perfect for "reversing" circuits or interlocking two different motor starters to ensure they don't run at the same time.
- The "X7" suffix is the critical voltage code. It indicates a 600V AC (50/60Hz) coil. While 120V or 24V control is common, many older Canadian heavy-industrial sites use 600V control power taken directly from the main 3-phase lines to eliminate the need for a control transformer. The CAD32X7 is specifically designed to handle these higher control voltages.
