Description
TeSys GV motor circuit breaker, 3 poles (3P), 1.6A/690V, for 3-phase motor applications 0.37-0.55kW@400V. It provides a thermal-magnetic protection with a thermal setting range 1-1.6A, magnetic tripping at 13xIn, high breaking capacity Icu 100kA@400V. Connection by screw clamp terminals. Start-stop control by push-button guaranteed for 100 000 cycles AC-3. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine, ATEX), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).
Features
- The Schneider Electric TeSys GV2ME06 is a dedicated 3-pole Manual Motor Starter that combines the roles of a circuit breaker and an overload relay into one compact device. It features a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism that provides precise protection against both long-term overloads and high-energy short circuits, eliminating the need for separate fuses or overload relays in many Canadian motor control applications.
- This model features a front-mounted adjustable thermal trip setting from 1 to 1.6 Amps. This allows electricians to dial in the exact Full Load Amps (FLA) of the motor, ensuring highly accurate protection and preventing "nuisance tripping" while maintaining strict compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) for motor branch-circuit protection.
- The GV2ME06 utilizes an ergonomic Push-Button interface (Start/Stop). The recessed "Start" button and protruding "Stop" button are designed for ease of use even with gloved hands, providing a clear mechanical indication of the motor status and doubling as a local manual disconnect for maintenance safety.
- To support robust Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures required by CSA Z462 standards, the device can be locked in the "OFF" position using a specialized padlock accessory. This prevents accidental restarts during servicing, providing critical protection for maintenance personnel working on Canadian industrial machinery.
