Description
2601 reversing drum switches are designed to start and reverse motors by connecting them directly across the line. The devices can be used with squirrel cage and single phase motors designed for reversing service. Can be used with AC or DC motors. Drum switches are field convertible from maintained to momentary operation. A variety of enclosures are available. This device has a NEMA 1 general purpose enclosure. Drum switches are UL listed and CSA certified for global applications.

- Built with a robust 3-pole architecture, this manual reversing drum switch allows commercial electricians and machinery operators to change the directional rotation of single-phase or three-phase induction motors across the line. It handles up to 2 HP at 230V AC (single phase) or up to 2 HP at 575V AC (polyphase), making it an ideal choice for wood lathes, metalworking machinery, and conveyor setups.
- ngineered to withstand demanding operational thresholds, this industrial-grade switch is rated for up to 600V AC and 250V DC (0.25 HP). This broad electrical compatibility ensures a secure interface with squirrel-cage motors as well as classic shunt, series, or compound DC power configurations, expanding its versatility across diverse fabrication environments.
- Housed in a compact, general-purpose NEMA 1 polymeric enclosure, this switch safely protects the interior electrical connections from accidental contact, tools, and light debris. Featuring a single captive cover screw for fast access and integrated 1/2-inch conduit knockouts in the bottom plate, it allows installers to establish clean, protective wire pathways in indoor commercial applications.
- Featuring extremely accessible, front-facing screw-clamp terminals, the 2601AG2 guarantees rapid, secure wire terminations for facility technicians. The large, fully insulated movable contact segments are rigidly affixed to the main shaft and heavily plated, maximizing the overall lifespan of the switch under repetitive, high-inrush motor-starting conditions.
