Description
This Harmony 9001K, contact block uses screw-clamp terminals and has 1 x NO + 1 x NC contacts. This contact block allows fast and easy replacement and configuration of your push buttons and selector switches. It is easily installed and replaced on 9001K complete push button units and selector switches and connects to control circuits with simple screw-clamp connections. Its clear color of cover allows users to identify it visually at a distance. It protects operators from unexpected contact with live circuits thanks to its IP20 protection index. It is compatible with Harmony 9001K push buttons and switches. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -25°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product.
Features
- The Schneider Electric (Square D) 9001KA1 is a heavy-duty, 30mm contact block designed for the rugged 9001K and 9001SK push button and selector switch lines. As the primary electrical interface for the operator, it converts the mechanical movement of the button into an electrical signal, serving as a staple component in Canadian industrial control panels.
- While similar in appearance to other blocks, the KA1 features a specific 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) arrangement. This dual-circuit configuration allows you to control two separate functions simultaneously—such as starting a motor while simultaneously turning off a "Standby" indicator light—providing essential logic for standard motor control circuits.
- Built to meet Type K (oil-tight, dust-tight, and water-tight) standards, the 9001KA1 is engineered for the "dirty" environments common in Canadian mining, pulp and paper, and manufacturing sectors. The silver alloy contacts are designed to resist pitting and corrosion, ensuring reliable switching even in high-vibration or high-cycle applications.
- One of the most powerful features of the 9001K system is its modular stacking capability. The 9001KA1 can be easily stacked behind other contact blocks using captive mounting screws. This allows an industrial engineer to build complex control sequences—controlling 4, 6, or even 8 circuits—from a single 30mm push button or selector switch.
