Description
Harmony 22 mm modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights are designed for industry. This range combines simplicity of setup, flexibility and a robust construction. An ingenious locking system consisting of a snap fit head and body that can be tightened with a single screw but still ensuring an easy and yet secure mounting. Harmony XB4/ZB4 are 22 mm chromium plated metal modular push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights connecting to fully metal mounting collar. The operators can be purchased as complete operators or various modules that can be assembled to meet the user’s specific requirement. Harmony XB5/ZB5 are 22 mm plastic modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights. The operator can have a round and square plastic bezel. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product. The contacts can be used for low load electrical contact and high power applications. Shake proof connection screws make periodic retightening unnecessary. A complete set of accessories to provide a solution for applications where exposure to high pressure cleaning, dust and extreme temperatures is an everyday occurrence. These harmony 22mm push buttons are used by machine manufacturers (automotive, textiles, timber) and control system panel builders. Certified and approved for meeting requirements throughout all continents: EN/IEC, UL, NEMA, CSA, CCC, Gost, JIS and many more. They have UL and CE markings and have ratings up to IP66 and IP69K.
Features
- The Schneider Electric ZB5AZ102 is a pre-assembled "body" for the Harmony XB5 (plastic) 22mm range. It consists of two essential parts: the ZB5AZ009 mounting collar (the frame) and one ZBE102 contact block. This allows you to skip a step in the assembly process, making it a faster and more convenient option for Canadian panel builders and maintenance technicians.
- This unit is configured with a 1 NC contact. In industrial control, a "Normally Closed" contact allows electricity to flow in its resting state and breaks the circuit when the button is pressed. This makes the ZB5AZ102 the standard choice for "Stop" buttons and safety-related signaling across Canadian manufacturing plants.
- Unlike the metal XB4 series, the ZB5 series is made from high-performance polyamide. This plastic construction is specifically designed for environments where metal might corrode or where chemical exposure is a concern, such as in Canadian water treatment plants, chemical processing facilities, or food and beverage sites.
- The ZB5AZ102 features positive opening action. This ensures that even if the internal contacts were to weld together under an electrical fault, the mechanical force of pushing the button would physically force the contacts apart. This is a critical safety requirement for stop functions under the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- The unit is equipped with IP20-rated finger-safe screw terminals. These are designed to hold wires (typically #14 to #18 AWG) securely even under industrial vibration. The screws are "captive," so they won't fall out during installation, which is a major time-saver for electricians working in the field.
