Description
This Harmony XB5, single contact block uses screw clamp terminals. This contact block allows fast and easy replacement and configuration of your push buttons and selector switches. It is easily installed and replaced on XB5 complete push-button units and selector switches via a clip assembly and connects to control circuits with simple screw-clamp connections. It protects operators from unexpected contact with live circuits thanks to its IP20 protection index. The base unit to start assembling your plastic push-button or switch. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product. Vibration resistant screw clamp connection terminals ensure high vibration resistance making product suitable installation on high impact machine.
Features
- Equipped with two normally open (NO) contacts, this assembly allows industrial automation technicians to trigger multiple independent operations—such as engaging a run signal and illuminating an status indicator—with one physical actuation. This dual-circuit layout optimizes terminal wiring and reduces the need for secondary auxiliary relays inside control cabinets.
- Included out of the box with a rugged, non-conductive plastic mounting base, this assembly is purpose-built for the Harmony XB5 series of $22\text{ mm}$ pushbuttons, selector switches, and pilot lights. The collar ensures alignment, eliminates wobbling, and provides high resistance to chemical exposure and corrosion in harsh manufacturing environments.
- Utilizing premium silver alloy (Ag/Ni) contacts, this device delivers clean, low-resistance electrical paths with an operational current rating up to 10 Amps at 600V AC. It is engineered with a slow-break contact action that ensures clean state changes, preventing signal bouncing when communicating directly with sensitive PLC and distributed control system (DCS) digital inputs.
- Designed with Harmony's toolless, snap-on installation mechanism, this contact block and collar sub-assembly can be mounted or replaced in seconds behind the panel. This modular design drastically reduces assembly time for panel builders and allows maintenance crews to execute quick field swaps during critical downtime windows without disturbing adjacent wiring.
