Description
Harmony 22 mm modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights are designed for industry. This range combines simplicity of setup, flexibility and a robust construction. An ingenious locking system consisting of a snap fit head and body that can be tightened with a single screw but still ensuring an easy and yet secure mounting. Harmony XB4/ZB4 are 22 mm chromium plated metal modular push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights connecting to fully metal mounting collar. The operators can be purchased as complete operators or various modules that can be assembled to meet the user’s specific requirement. Harmony XB5/ZB5 are 22 mm plastic modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights. The operator can have a round and square plastic bezel. The contacts can be used for low load electrical contact and high power applications. Shake proof connection screws make periodic retightening unnecessary. A complete set of accessories to provide a solution for applications where exposure to high pressure cleaning, dust and extreme temperatures is an everyday occurrence. These harmony 22mm push buttons are used by machine manufacturers (automotive, textiles, timber) and control system panel builders. Certified and approved for meeting requirements throughout all continents: EN/IEC, UL, NEMA, CSA, CCC, Gost, JIS and many more. They have UL and CE markings and have ratings up to IP66 and IP69K.
Features
- The Schneider Electric ZB2BE102 is a high-reliability contact block designed for the legacy Harmony XAP/ZB2 22mm push button range. While the newer XB4 and XB5 series are now more common, the ZB2 range remains a "gold standard" in many older Canadian industrial plants, specifically in heavy-duty applications like pendant stations and crane controls.
- This block features a 1 NC contact configuration. In industrial logic, "Normally Closed" means electricity flows through the circuit when the button is at rest and breaks when the button is pressed. This makes the ZB2BE102 the primary choice for Emergency Stop (E-Stop) buttons and standard "Stop" functions across Canadian manufacturing and resource sectors.
- A critical safety feature of the ZB2BE102 is its positive opening action. This ensures that even if the contacts have been subjected to a slight weld due to an electrical surge, the mechanical force of pressing the button will physically force the contacts apart. This is a mandatory requirement for safety-related control functions under the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Equipped with silver alloy contacts, the ZB2BE102 is designed for high electrical durability. It is rated for AC-15 and DC-13 (pilot duty), meaning it can reliably handle the "flyback" and inrush current associated with switching contactor coils, solenoids, and heavy-duty relays.
- The block uses robust screw clamp terminals that are "finger-safe" and designed to hold #14 to #18 AWG wires securely. These terminals are built to withstand the constant vibration of heavy machinery essential for equipment used in the Canadian mining, forestry, and steel industries.
