Description
2601 reversing drum switches are designed to starting and reversing motors by connecting them directly across the line. The devices can be used with squirrel cage and single-phase motors designed for reversing service. Can be used with AC or DC motors. Drum switches are field convertible from maintained to momentary operation. A variety of enclosures are available. A NEMA 4 watertight and dusttight enclosure is used to protect this switch. Enclosure is 6.89 inches tall, 4.40 inches wide and 5.50 inches deep. Drum switches are UL listed and CSA certified.

- Engineered for demanding mechanical setups, this 3-pole switch directly reverses squirrel cage AC motors and DC series/shunt motors up to 7.5 horsepower at 575V. - Outfitted with durable Type B pressure-wire connectors and highly accessible screw-clamp terminals, the drum switch streamlines point-to-point field wiring. The internal architecture features spacious wiring clearways alongside pre-installed 1/2-inch conduit entry hubs, reducing termination stress and preventing hot-spot resistance gaps behind the plated, high-conductivity stationary contact fingers.
