Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- Engineered to standard Class J dimensions (13/16-inch diameter by 2-1/4-inch length), this 17.5-amp cylindrical cartridge fuse explicitly enforces a physical rejection feature that prevents dangerous installation errors with other fuse types. It drops directly into any standard low-voltage Class J fuse block, making it a drop-in replacement for older configurations or upgrades in tight control centers.
- Built with dual-element, time-delay characteristics, this current-limiting power fuse safely absorbs harmless transient surges and momentary starting inrush currents from motors and transformers.
- Boasting an exceptional 200 kA interrupting rating (AIC) at 600 VAC, this Amp-Trap 2000 series fuse delivers superior current limitation by lowering peak let-through energy. - The body is constructed from premium fiberglass-reinforced GMG (glass melamine) material filled with high-grade silica sand for rapid arc quenching.
