Description
Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.
Features
- The ATDR20 is a 20-Amp, 600V AC/300V DC Class CC time-delay fuse from Mersen’s Amp-Trap 2000® series. It features the signature rejection tip, a physical safety feature that prevents lower-rated "midget" fuses from being installed in its place, ensuring the branch circuit remains protected to its high-performance design specifications.
- Designed specifically for small motor and control transformer protection, the ATDR20 provides exceptional time-delay characteristics. It is engineered to "ride through" the high initial current surges (inrush) of 20-Amp inductive loads without nuisance tripping, while still providing ultra-fast protection against actual fault conditions.
- This fuse is highly current-limiting, providing IEC Type 2 "No Damage" protection. In the event of a short circuit, it can interrupt the fault in less than half a cycle (<0.008 seconds). With a 200,000 Amp interrupting rating, it drastically reduces the energy (I^2t) that reaches downstream components, preventing catastrophic equipment failure.
- The ATDR20 is constructed with a high-grade fiberglass body and silver-plated copper contact caps. This robust build ensures dimensional stability and electrical reliability even in high-vibration or high-temperature environments, such as compact industrial control panels or rooftop HVAC systems.
- The Mersen ATDR20 is UL Listed to Standard 248-4 (Class CC) and CSA Certified to Standard C22.2.
