Description
CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. This circuit breaker provides standard circuit protection and is HACR rated. This 2 pole circuit breaker with plug in mounting is rated 30 A at 120/240 VAC. CHOM breakers provide 10 kA breaking capacity. The electrical connection is a clamp terminal that will accept 2 wires. The clamp terminal will accept a wire range of 14 AWG to 8 AWG copper or aluminum wire. This circuit breaker has a height of 3.13 inches, a width of 2.0 inch and depth of 2.98 inches. CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are CSA certified.

- The CHOM230 is a 2-pole, 30-Amp Homeline (CHOM) Miniature Circuit Breaker designed to provide simultaneous overcurrent protection for both "hot" legs of a 240V circuit. It is the industry-standard choice for protecting heavy-duty residential appliances like electric water heaters, central air conditioning units, and smaller well pumps.
- This breaker is engineered exclusively for use in Schneider Electric Homeline load centers. It utilizes a 2-inch wide plug-on design that occupies two spaces on the bus bar. Please note: This breaker is not compatible with Square D QO (Premium), Federal Pioneer, or other manufacturer panels; always verify your panel type to ensure a secure and code-compliant fit.
- Featuring an internal common-trip mechanism, the CHOM230 ensures that if one pole detects a fault, both poles trip simultaneously. This prevents "single-phasing," a dangerous condition where an appliance remains partially powered, which can lead to motor burnout, equipment damage, or electrical fires in 240V systems.
- Designed for high-amperage residential loads, the breaker features robust box-lug terminals that securely accept both copper and aluminum conductors (typically #14 to #8 AWG). The simple snap-in installation allows for a fast setup, while the center-trip position provides a clear visual indicator that the circuit has faulted and requires resetting
