CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. This circuit breaker provides standard circuit protection and is HACR rated. This 2 pole circuit breaker with plug in mounting is rated 40 A at 120/240 VAC. CHOM breakers provide 10 kA breaking capacity. The electrical connections are box lugs. The box lugs will accept a wire range of 8 AWG to 2 AWG copper or aluminum wire. This circuit breaker has a height of 3.13 inches, a width of 2.0 inch and depth of 2.98 inches. CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are CSA certified.

The CHOM240 is a 2-pole, 40-Amp Homeline (CHOM) Miniature Circuit Breaker designed specifically for 240V residential applications. It provides essential overcurrent and short-circuit protection for high-demand dedicated circuits, making it the standard choice for powering electric ranges, larger well pumps, and smaller electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
This breaker is engineered exclusively for use in Schneider Electric Homeline panels. It features a 2-inch wide plug-on design that occupies two 1-inch spaces on the bus bar. Please note that it is not compatible with Square D QO (Premium), Federal Pioneer, or other manufacturer panels; always verify your panel type to ensure a safe, high-integrity mechanical connection.
Featuring an internal common-trip mechanism, the CHOM240 ensures that if a fault occurs on either leg of the circuit, both poles trip simultaneously. This "all-or-nothing" safety feature prevents "single-phasing," a dangerous condition that can cause motor burnout or permanent damage to expensive 240V household equipment.
Equipped with robust box-lug terminals, this breaker securely accepts both copper and aluminum conductors (typically #8 to #2 AWG).
