Description
CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. CHOM breakers provide 10kA breaking capacity. The electrical connection is a clamp terminal that will accept 2 wires. The clamp terminal will accept a wire range of 4 AWG to 2/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire. CHOM Homeline miniature circuit breakers are CSA certified.

- The Schneider CHOM2100 is a heavy-duty two-pole circuit breaker rated at 100 Amps and 120/240V AC. It is primarily used as a sub-panel feeder, providing high-capacity power to a secondary electrical panel in a detached garage, workshop, or home addition. It can also serve as the main disconnect for smaller 100A service entrances.
- This is an authentic, CSA-certified Homeline (CHOM) breaker, designed specifically for the Canadian residential market. It is engineered to fit perfectly into Schneider Homeline load centers, ensuring the mechanical integrity of the panel and maintaining your manufacturer's warranty—something third-party "classified" breakers cannot guarantee.
- The CHOM2100 is a full-size breaker that occupies two 1-inch spaces (2 inches total width) in your panel. Because a 100-Amp load generates significant heat, this full-size footprint is essential for proper thermal dissipation, preventing the nuisance tripping that can occur with undersized or crowded components.
- This breaker utilizes a dual-layer thermal-magnetic trip system. The thermal element guards against slow, sustained overloads that can melt wire insulation, while the magnetic element provides near-instantaneous protection against high-energy short circuits, cutting power in milliseconds to prevent fires.
- To handle its high current rating, the CHOM2100 is equipped with oversized box-lug terminals. These are designed to securely clamp large-gauge conductors, typically accommodating #4 AWG to 2/0 AWG in copper or aluminum. This ensures a low-resistance connection that can withstand the thermal stresses of a high-load sub-panel.
