Description
TeSys GV electrical trip, MN undervoltage release, 200V AC 50Hz / 200-220V AC 60Hz, for motor circuit breakers GV2, GV3. It trips the circuit breaker when the control voltage drops below 0.35 Uc, possible opening between 0.35-0.7 Uc. Closing of the circuit breaker is only possible when the control voltage is applied in the range 0.85-1.1 Uc. To be mounted on right-hand side of the circuit breaker, connection by screw clamp terminals. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC).
Features
- Engineered specifically for seamless integration with the Schneider Electric TeSys Deca series (Frame 2), this undervoltage release mechanism is fully compatible with GV2L, GV2LE, GV2ME, GV2P, GV3L, and GV3P manual motor starters. It mounts securely on the right-hand side of your existing circuit breaker via a direct-fit surface mount connection, avoiding the need for complex field retrofitting or third-party mounting brackets.
- The unit is optimized for a precise control circuit voltage rating of 200V AC at 50 Hz and 200V to 220V AC at 60 Hz. This specific operating envelope ensures exact voltage drop detection tailored for industrial machinery and HVAC panel control loops utilizing common Japanese or global 200-220V industrial power standards.
- Featuring advanced MN undervoltage release technology, the mechanism automatically trips the connected circuit breaker whenever the incoming control voltage drops between 35% and 70% of its rated capacity (Uc). This aggressive protection curve halts operations instantly during brownouts or phase loss, mitigating the risk of inductive motor overheating, premature stator burnouts, and unintended automatic machinery restarts when power is restored.
- For enhanced operational safety, this module enforces strict re-energization guardrails by ensuring the circuit breaker cannot be manually closed or reset until the control voltage recovered to a safe operating range of 85% to 110% of Uc. This interlock design safeguards your maintenance personnel and expensive plant floor machinery from immediate, unpredictable torque loads upon utility restoration.
- Built with robust right-side screw clamp terminals, this trip accessory accepts a wide cross-section of industrial wiring, accommodating 1 2.5 mm2 solid conductors or 0.75 2.5 mm2 flexible cables without the necessity of specialized cable ends. The field-ready terminals ensure a vibration-resistant, low-resistance electrical connection that eliminates nuisance tripping caused by loose or frayed control wires in high-vibration manufacturing environments.
