Description
8910DP definite purpose magnetic contactors are designed for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration applications. This line of definite purpose contactors has current ratings up to 120 amperes resistive and 50 HP at 600 VAC. This three pole definite purpose contactor has a full load rating of 30 ampere and a resistive rating of 40 amperes. It also has a 2 HP at 115 VAC single phase, 5 HP at 230 VAC single phase and 10 HP at 230 VAC three phase, 15 HP at 460 VAC three phase and 20 HP at 575 VAC three phase. The nonreplaceable coil is available with a variety of coil voltages. This device has a 110/120 VAC 50/60 Hz coil. The contactor has straight through wiring. Contactor is 3.75 inches by 2.37 inches and 3.00 tall. These contactors are UL component recognized and CSA certified.

Unlike general-purpose industrial contactors, DP contactors are specifically engineered for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications like HVAC, refrigeration, data center cooling, and food service equipment. It is the go-to component for switching 3-phase compressors and heating banks across Canada.
- This unit is rated for 30 Amps of full load current (FLA). In a typical Canadian 3-phase environment, it can handle: 20 HP at 480V/600V AC Locked Rotor Amps (LRA) up to 150A at 600V Its robust design ensures it can handle the high startup inrush of a large AC compressor without the contacts welding or pitting prematurely.
- The "V02" suffix indicates a 120V AC (60Hz) / 110V AC (50Hz) control coil. This is the standard control voltage for the majority of Canadian commercial building automation systems. It allows the contactor to be triggered directly by a thermostat transformer or a building management system (BMS) output.
- With 3 poles, this contactor switches all three legs of a 3-phase power supply simultaneously. This ensures balanced power delivery to the motor and allows for the integration of 3-phase overload protection if required by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
