Description
Homeline® miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. This circuit breaker provides standard circuit protection and is HACR rated. This 1 pole circuit breaker with plug in mounting is rated 15A at 120/240 VAC. HOM breakers provide 10 kA breaking capacity.
Features
- A high-performance Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI) designed to detect both unintended series and parallel arcs. Unlike standard breakers that only react to overloads, this unit uses advanced electronics to sense dangerous arcing conditions often caused by frayed cords or damaged wire insulation behind walls and trips instantly to prevent electrical fires before they start.
- This breaker is engineered exclusively for the Schneider Electric Homeline (CHOM) platform. It features a 1-pole, 1-inch space-saving design and is intended for use in Canadian Homeline load centers. Note that this specific "PCAFI" model is designed for traditional pigtail installation, featuring a neutral white wire for connection to the panel's neutral bar.
- The CHOM115PCAFI is the pigtail version, which provides maximum compatibility with both older and newer Homeline panels. The pre-attached neutral lead allows for a secure connection even in panels that do not feature a plug-on neutral bus bar, making it the most versatile choice for retrofitting safety upgrades into existing residential electrical systems.
- To reduce contractor return visits and homeowner frustration, this breaker includes integrated "TIME SAVER" diagnostics. By following a simple button-press sequence after a trip, the breaker uses a visual LED indicator to signal whether the fault was caused by a standard arc fault, a ground fault (if applicable to the model), or a simple thermal overload, pinpointing the issue in seconds.
- Fully CSA certified, the CHOM115PCAFI is designed to meet strict Canadian safety standards. As arc-fault protection is now mandatory for nearly all 15A and 20A branch circuits in residential bedrooms, living areas, and kitchens under the CEC, this breaker ensures your home renovation or new build is fully code-compliant and protected by industry-leading technology.
