Description
Features
- This TeSys K differential thermal overload relay features integrated phase failure sensitivity that continuously monitors current balance across all three phases. If a single-phasing event or a critical phase unbalance occurs, the internal mechanism trips rapidly to cut power to the control circuit, protecting your expensive 3-phase fractional-horsepower motors from catastrophic overheating and premature winding burnout.
- quipped with an adjustable thermal setting dial, this relay provides a precise current adjustment range of 2.60 to 3.70 A. This localized adjustment wheel lets maintenance technicians fine-tune the trip threshold to match the exact nameplate FLA of small pumps, fans, or conveyor drives, eliminating nuisance tripping while ensuring strict compliance with Canadian Electrical Code overcurrent protection standards.
- Designed for seamless, plug-and-play mechanical integration, this overload relay clips and bolts directly onto the bottom terminals of the TeSys K miniature contactor series (such as the LC1K or LP1K). This direct-mounting architecture eliminates the need for extra interconnecting wires, reduces labor times, and keeps your overall control assembly footprint remarkably compact on the DIN rail.
- This device comes factory-equipped with 1 NO (Normally Open) and 1 NC (Normally Closed) auxiliary contacts rated for standard industrial control circuits. The NC contact wires directly into your contactor coil loop to drop out power during a fault, while the NO contact simultaneously signals a local pilot light or routes a discrete digital input back to a supervisory PLC for immediate fault diagnosis.
- Featuring a versatile, multi-function selector button on the front face, this relay supports four distinct operating modes: Manual Reset, Automatic Reset, Test, and Stop. This allows plant engineers to lock the unit in manual mode to force a physical technician inspection after a fault, or switch it to automatic mode for remote, unstaffed pump stations where the unit must self-reset once the internal bi-metallic strips cool down.
- The finger-safe IP2x housings feature captive screws that maintain a consistent tightening torque of 1.3 N.m, preventing loose connections, localized resistance heating, and intermittent signal drops on high-vibration factory floors.
