Description
TeSys LRD overload relays are designed to be used with TeSys D contactors to make a motor starter. This overload relay can be used with 80 amp through 95 amp TeSys D contactors. These differential thermal overload relays detect over currents in the lines to the motor. When an overcurrent is detected the overload relay working with the contactor will disconnect the power to the motor. This will minimize the damage to the motor windings. This overload relay has an adjustable trip current rating of 37 to 50 amperes. This trip current rating is calibrated per Class 10A. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX, Marine).
Features
- Engineered for seamless direct mounting to Schneider Electric TeSys D contactors (specifically LC1D80 and LC1D95), this thermal overload relay creates a compact, integrated motor starter assembly. This plug-and-play design eliminates the need for extra wiring or DIN-rail adapters, saving valuable panel space and reducing labor time during installation or maintenance.
- Featuring a high-visibility adjustment dial, this relay allows for fine-tuned current settings between 37A and 50A to match your specific motor s Full Load Amps (FLA). This precision prevents nuisance tripping while ensuring the relay reacts instantly to overloads, effectively shielding your heavy-duty motors from overheating and costly winding failure.
- Built with advanced differential tripping technology, the LRD3357 detects phase unbalance and phase loss in real-time. This critical protection layer automatically disconnects the motor if one phase fails, preventing the rapid heat buildup and catastrophic motor burnout that typically occurs when industrial equipment tries to run on unbalanced power.
- Equipped with a versatile blue reset button, the device allows for a choice between manual reset forcing a technician inspection or automatic reset for remote applications. The integrated red stop/test button allows you to manually verify the internal tripping mechanism and auxiliary contacts (1 NO + 1 NC) without a fault, ensuring your safety circuit is fully operational before the line goes live.
- Utilizing Schneider s patented EverLink screw technology, the power connections maintain constant pressure on the cables even as the copper creeps or vibrates over time. This eliminates the need for periodic re-tightening and prevents hot spots at 600V, ensuring your 3-phase industrial power distribution remains stable and fire-safe in high-vibration manufacturing environments.
