Description

TeSys LRD overload relays are designed to be used with TeSys D contactors to make a motor starter. This overload relay can be used with 80 amp through 95 amp TeSys D contactors. These differential thermal overload relays detect over currents in the lines to the motor. When an overcurrent is detected the overload relay working with the contactor will disconnect the power to the motor. This will minimize the damage to the motor windings. This overload relay has an adjustable trip current rating of 48 to 65 amperes. This trip current rating is calibrated per Class 10A. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX, Marine).

Features

  • Featuring an integrated setting dial that adjusts from 48 to 65 Amps, this bimetallic relay allows electrical contractors to match the precise Full Load Amperage (FLA) of three-phase motors. This granular adjustment prevents premature or nuisance tripping during normal, heavy startup draws while guaranteeing robust overcurrent protection for large 30kW pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • Purpose-built for the Schneider Electric TeSys Deca framework, this relay mounts directly beneath standard LC1D80 and LC1D95 3-pole contactors. The plug-and-play pin alignment eliminates the labor, space, and wiring costs of separate mounting bases, allowing panel builders to optimize space inside crowded control enclosures.
  • This differential overload relay monitors incoming current and rapidly triggers a trip if it detects a single-phase loss or a major phase unbalance. By breaking the control circuit before the motor windings overheat from running on unbalanced voltage, it shields critical plant equipment from catastrophic insulation failure and expensive burnouts.
  • Calibrated strictly to a Class 10A trip curve, this safety device guarantees a reliable circuit interruption within 10 seconds of an overcurrent or locked-rotor event. This standard-speed response safely absorbs temporary inrush currents when starting high-inertia loads while responding quickly enough to preserve the operational lifespan of your motor infrastructure.
