    Description

    TeSys LRD thermal overload relay, 32A/690V, thermal setting range 23-32A, tripping class 10A, for protection of 3-phase motors 15kW@400V. Differential device with phase failure and load unbalance detection. It provides a thermal adjustement dial, a manual-automatic reset selector, a test selector for simulation of a tripping, reset and stop buttons, a flag indicator and 2 auxiliary contacts 1NO+1NC for fault signalling. Settings are protected by a transparent cover lockable by sealing. Connection by screw clamp terminals, it connects directly to the bottom terminals of 3-pole contactors LC1D25-D38. Mounting on DIN rail or screw fixing, separated from the contactor, with use of a terminal block LAD7B205 (to be ordered separately). Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX, Marine), Green Premium compliant (RoHs/Reach).

    Features

    • The Schneider LRD32 is a differential thermal overload relay designed to protect AC motors against overloads, phase failure, long starting times, and prolonged stalling of the motor. It is engineered to mount directly beneath a TeSys D contactor (specifically models LC1D25 through LC1D38), creating a compact and highly reliable motor starter assembly.
    • Featuring a versatile adjustment dial, the LRD32 covers a current range of 23 to 32 Amps. This allows maintenance technicians to precisely calibrate the protection level to match the specific nameplate rating of the motor, ensuring the system only trips under genuine fault conditions while preventing "nuisance trips" during standard operation.
    • This relay features advanced differential protection, which monitors the balance between all three phases. If one phase is lost or significantly unbalanced—a common cause of rapid motor burnout—the LRD32 will trip the circuit immediately, saving the motor from catastrophic internal damage and avoiding costly unscheduled downtime.
    • The LRD32 offers maximum flexibility with a dual-function Manual/Auto reset selector. In "Manual" mode, an operator must physically press the reset button after a fault, ensuring a safety check is performed. In "Auto" mode, the relay resets itself once the bimetallic strips have cooled, making it ideal for remotely located pumps or fans where manual intervention is difficult.
    • To simplify troubleshooting, the unit includes a trip indicator flag and a dedicated Test trip button. The test button allows you to manually actuate the NC (Normally Closed) and NO (Normally Open) auxiliary contacts to verify that your control logic and alarm circuits are functioning correctly without needing to create an actual overload condition.
