Description

TeSys K overload relays are designed to be used with TeSys K contactors to make a motor starter. These differential thermal overload relays detect over currents in the lines to the motor. When an overcurrent is detected the overload relay working with the contactor will disconnect the power to the motor. This will minimize the damage to the motor windings. This overload relay has an adjustable trip current rating of 3.7 to 5.5 amperes. This trip current rating is calibrated per Class 10A. Mounting on DIN rail, separated from the contactor, with use of a terminal block LA7K0064 (to be ordered separately). Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC).

  • Featuring a calibrated bimetallic dial adjustable from 3.7 to 5.5 Amps, this thermal overload relay allows commercial electricians to fine-tune protection exactly to a motor's nameplate FLA (Full Load Amps). This precision calibration prevents unnecessary nuisance tripping during startup cycles while ensuring tight, highly reliable protection against sustained overcurrent conditions on small pumps, fans, and conveyor drives.
  • Designed for seamless mechanical integration, this relay mounts directly to the underside of Schneider Electric TeSys K-Series mini-contactors (LC1K, LP1K). This plug-and-play architecture forms a compact, space-saving motor starter assembly that completely eliminates the need for interconnecting wires, reducing enclosure clutter and cutting labor time for panel builders.
  • This versatile relay features a selectable manual or automatic reset selector, allowing maintenance teams to configure safe system recovery workflows such as requiring a technician to physically check a machine before restarting or allowing automated systems to cycle back online safely. A front-accessible test button is also integrated, letting operators manually trip the mechanism to verify auxiliary control wiring and signaling circuits during routine maintenance.
  • Outfitted with built-in, isolated 1 Normally Open (NO) and 1 Normally Closed (NC) auxiliary contacts, this relay effortlessly bridges the gap between power protection and control logic. The NC contact instantly breaks the contactor coil circuit upon an overload event to stop the motor, while the NO contact simultaneously closes to trigger an alarm pilot light or send a fault input signal to an upstream PLC or automation controller.
