Description

TeSys K overload relays are designed to be used with TeSys K contactors to make a motor starter. These differential thermal overload relays detect over currents in the lines to the motor. When an overcurrent is detected the overload relay working with the contactor will disconnect the power to the motor. This will minimize the damage to the motor windings. This overload relay has an adjustable trip current rating of 5.5 to 8 amperes. This trip current rating is calibrated per Class 10A. Mounting on DIN rail, separated from the contactor, with use of a terminal block LA7K0064 (to be ordered separately). Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC).

  • Built with advanced differential mechanics, the unit includes proactive phase failure and load unbalance detection conforming to strict IEC 60947-4-1 standards. By automatically triggering a trip when a single phase drops or an unbalance occurs, it shields your three-phase motors from rapid winding overheating and catastrophic industrial machine failures.
  • This overload relay features integrated 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contacts for fault signaling, a prominent yellow flag trip indicator, and dedicated blue/red push-buttons for stop, manual/auto reset, and test simulations. This allows field electricians to quickly diagnose system faults, test control logic safety loops, and choose the ideal recovery mode to safely minimize operational downtime.
  • Boasting an IP2X finger-safe shock hazard rating, Class 10A tripping performance, and a robust bimetallic design, this unit handles operational temperatures from -20 C to 55 C without derating.
