Description
TeSys LRD overload relays are designed to be used with TeSys D contactors to make a motor starter. This overload relay can be used with 80 amp through 95 amp TeSys D contactors. These differential thermal overload relays detect over currents in the lines to the motor. When an overcurrent is detected the overload relay working with the contactor will disconnect the power to the motor. This will minimize the damage to the motor windings. This overload relay has an adjustable trip current rating of 23 to 32 amperes. This trip current rating is calibrated per Class 10A. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX, Marine).
Features
- Specifically engineered for direct mounting beneath TeSys Deca or TeSys D contactors (frames LC1D80 and LC1D95), this thermal overload relay creates a compact, integrated motor starter assembly. This plug-and-play design saves significant cabinet space and eliminates the need for extra wiring, ensuring a professional, vibration-resistant connection in your motor control center.
- Featuring a precision-calibrated adjustment dial, this relay allows you to set the protection threshold exactly to your motor's nameplate current rating. By providing a custom-fit thermal protection curve, it prevents motor burnout caused by phase imbalance or steady-state overloads, significantly extending the service life of expensive industrial pumps, fans, and compressors.
- This relay is rated as Class 10, meaning it is optimized to trip within 10 seconds or less at 600% of the maximum setting. It provides the ideal balance for standard-starting industrial motors offering enough delay to avoid nuisance tripping during startup while reacting rapidly to genuine fault conditions to protect internal motor windings from overheating.
- Equipped with a versatile selector for manual or automatic reset, this unit gives you total control over your system's recovery logic. The integrated "Stop" and "Test" buttons allow technicians to simulate a trip condition safely during commissioning, ensuring that the N/C and N/O auxiliary contacts correctly trigger your PLC or alarm circuits before the machine goes live.
- Built with advanced differential tripping technology, the LRD3353 is highly sensitive to phase loss and load unbalance. In the event of a single-phasing condition which is a common cause of rapid motor failure the relay trips the contactor immediately, shielding your equipment from catastrophic damage and reducing the risk of costly production line downtime.
