- he Schneider Electric Harmony HMISCU6B5 is an ultra-compact HMI Controller, essentially a hybrid that combines a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a built-in logic controller. This "two-in-one" design eliminates the need for a separate PLC and HMI for small machines, significantly reducing wiring, panel space, and overall system cost for Canadian industrial applications.
- Integrated I/O: What are the input and output capabilities? This specific model is packed with versatile I/O for its size: 8 Digital Inputs: Includes 2 high-speed inputs (100kHz) for encoder feedback or fast sensing. 8 Digital Outputs: Includes 2 high-speed transistor outputs (100kHz) for PWM or PTO motor control. Analog I/O Bonus: Unlike many basic controllers, it also features 4 Analog Inputs (Voltage, Current, or Thermocouple/PT100) and 2 Analog Outputs, making it ideal for temperature control or variable speed drive (VFD) command signals.
- The unit features a 3.5-inch TFT color touchscreen with a 320 x 240 pixel (QVGA) resolution. Despite its small size, it supports 65,000 colors and provides a vibrant interface for graphic objects, alarm displays, and mimic diagrams, ensuring that Canadian operators can clearly monitor machine status at a glance.
- The Harmony SCU series uses a unique 22mm hole mounting system. Instead of a large rectangular cutout, the HMI module snaps through a standard 22mm pushbutton hole, and the controller module snaps onto the back. This "pushbutton-style" installation saves hours of layout and cutting time for panel builders.
