Description
CHOMT Homeline miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. This breaker consists of a two pole breaker in the middle and a single breaker on each side. It provides a standard circuit protection and is HACR rated. The two pole breaker is rated 20A at 120/240VAC and the single pole breakers are rated 15A and 15A at 120/240VAC. This circuit breaker provides 10kA breaking capacity. This quad tandem breaker will accept 14 AWG to 8 AWG copper or aluminum wire. CHOMT tandem breakers are CSA certified.
Features
- The CHOMT1515220 is a tandem quad breaker that provides four independent circuits in the physical space of just two standard 1-inch slots. It features two 15-Amp single-pole circuits on the outside and one 20-Amp double-pole circuit in the center, allowing you to add a 240V appliance and two 120V branch circuits without upgrading to a larger, more expensive load center.
- The two center poles are connected by an internal common-trip mechanism to provide dedicated 240V protection. If either side of the 20-Amp circuit experiences a fault, both poles trip simultaneously to prevent "single-phasing," protecting your equipment (like a small AC unit or baseboard heater) from partial power conditions that lead to motor burnout or fire hazards.
- This breaker is engineered exclusively for Square D Homeline (Canadian) load centers. It features a specialized mounting foot that acts as a "rejection feature," ensuring it is only installed in panels designed to handle the extra circuit density. Note: This unit is not compatible with Square D QO (Blue Label), Siemens, Eaton, or GE panels.
- The CHOMT1515220 is fully CSA Certified and meets all requirements for residential and light commercial branch circuit protection in Canada. With a 10,000 AIR (Amperes Interrupting Rating), it provides the high-level short-circuit protection required by modern safety standards to protect your home's infrastructure.
- Equipped with high-quality pressure plate terminals, this breaker ensures a secure, gas-tight connection for both copper and aluminum conductors. It is designed for easy "plug-on" installation, allowing electricians to quickly expand a crowded "full" panel by replacing two standard breakers with this high-density quad configuration.
