• The CHOMT1515220 is a tandem quad breaker that provides four independent circuits in the physical space of just two standard 1-inch slots. It features two 15-Amp single-pole circuits on the outside and one 20-Amp double-pole circuit in the center, allowing you to add a 240V appliance and two 120V branch circuits without upgrading to a larger, more expensive load center.
• The two center poles are connected by an internal common-trip mechanism to provide dedicated 240V protection. If either side of the 20-Amp circuit experiences a fault, both poles trip simultaneously to prevent "single-phasing," protecting your equipment (like a small AC unit or baseboard heater) from partial power conditions that lead to motor burnout or fire hazards.
• This breaker is engineered exclusively for Square D Homeline (Canadian) load centers. It features a specialized mounting foot that acts as a "rejection feature," ensuring it is only installed in panels designed to handle the extra circuit density. Note: This unit is not compatible with Square D QO (Blue Label), Siemens, Eaton, or GE panels.
• The CHOMT1515220 is fully CSA Certified and meets all requirements for residential and light commercial branch circuit protection in Canada.
