Description
Homeline miniature circuit breakers are engineered and designed for fast installation and superior circuit protection. Homeline circuit breakers are designed to plug into Homeline load centers to provide circuit protection. The HOMT circuit breaker is two single pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers manufactured in tandem. This tandem breaker occupies only one HOM pole space. Each single pole HOMT plug in circuit breaker provides an individual switching and tripping action. This tandem HOM miniature tandem breaker with plug in mounting is rated 15A and 15A at 12/24 VAC. This circuit breaker provides 1 kA breaking capacity. This tandem breaker will accept 14 AWG to 8 AWG copper or aluminum wire. The tandem breaker is 3.13 inches tall, 1. inches wide and 2.98 inches deep. Features
- The CHOMT1515 is a single-pole tandem circuit breaker that provides two independent 15-Amp circuits while occupying only one 1-inch space in your panel. It is the go-to solution for adding a new circuit to a full panelboard without the need for a costly sub-panel or a complete electrical service upgrade.
- This breaker is designed specifically for Schneider Electric Homeline (CHOM) load centers. However, it will only install in specific slots of a "Tandem-Ready" panel (usually indicated by a notch in the bus bar). It is strictly for the Homeline series and is not compatible with Square D QO, Federal Pioneer, or other manufacturer panels.
- By splitting a standard 1-inch breaker body into two separate switching mechanisms, the CHOMT1515 allows you to double your circuit density. Each 15-Amp lever operates independently, meaning a fault on "Circuit A" will not trip "Circuit B," ensuring that half of your connected loads remain powered during a localized fault.
- Rated for 120V AC, this breaker features a 10,000 AIR (Amperes Interrupting Rating). It is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, and provides the standard thermal-magnetic protection required for residential lighting and receptacle branch circuits.
- The CHOMT1515 is fully CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certified and meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). It features robust screw-clamp terminals that securely accept #14 to #8 AWG copper or aluminum wire, providing a reliable and code-compliant solution for Canadian home renovations and expansions.
