Description
Features
- The Schneider LRD06 is a bimetallic thermal overload relay designed to protect AC motors from overloads, phase failure, and prolonged stalling. It is specifically engineered to mount directly beneath a TeSys D contactor (models LC1D09 through LC1D38), creating a seamless and coordinated motor starter assembly.
- The LRD06 features a precise adjustment dial covering a current range of 1.0 to 1.6 Amps. This low-amperage range is ideal for protecting small fractional-horsepower motors, such as those found in small pumps, specialized fans, or precision conveyor systems, where accurate calibration is essential to prevent motor burnout.
- This relay includes a differential trip mechanism that monitors all three phases. If one phase is lost (single-phasing) or if there is a significant current imbalance, the LRD06 will trip the circuit faster than a standard overload relay. This proactive protection prevents the rapid heat buildup that leads to catastrophic internal motor damage.
- The unit features a blue Reset/Selector button that allows you to choose between Manual (H) or Automatic (A) reset. In Manual mode, the relay stays tripped until an operator inspects the motor and pushes the button; in Automatic mode, it resets itself once the internal bimetallic strips have cooled, which is useful for automated systems in hard-to-reach locations.
- For easier commissioning, the LRD06 includes a red Stop button and a Test trip slide. The Stop button manually opens the NC (Normally Closed) contact to stop the motor, while the Test function simulates a trip to verify that your auxiliary alarm or PLC signaling circuits are functioning correctly without needing to physically overheat the motor.
