Description
Features
- The LRD10 is a TeSys Deca differential thermal overload relay designed to protect AC motors against overloads and phase failures. It acts as a fail-safe by monitoring the current flowing to the motor and automatically tripping the associated contactor if the current exceeds the set limit for a specific duration, preventing motor burnout and costly equipment replacement.
- Featuring a precise current adjustment dial ranging from 4 to 6 Amps, the LRD10 allows you to match the protection profile exactly to your motor's Full Load Amps (FLA). This level of customization ensures that the relay provides a tight safety margin, preventing nuisance trips during normal operation while reacting instantly to genuine mechanical overloads.
- This relay features a "differential" design, making it highly sensitive to phase loss or phase unbalance. If one phase fails—a leading cause of motor failure—the LRD10 detects the discrepancy and trips faster than a standard overload, shielding your motor from the rapid heat buildup that occurs during single-phasing conditions.
- The LRD10 is equipped with 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) auxiliary contacts. These are used to integrate the overload into your control circuit; the NC contact is wired to stop the contactor, while the NO contact can be used to trigger a "Fault" pilot light or send a status signal to a PLC, providing immediate diagnostic feedback.
- The unit features a blue lever that allows you to choose between Manual or Automatic reset modes. Manual mode ensures a technician must inspect the machine before restarting, while the integrated "Test" and "Stop" buttons allow for safe verification of the control circuit and manual simulation of a trip condition without disconnecting any wiring.
